No instructions. No clue what to do or if what Im doing is correct or not. I can respect the idea that figuring all of this out is part of the game, but only to a certain extent. Artwork is nice, but its not enough to compel me to figure all of this out.

Okay its an amazing game, no instructions but youre trying To go through specific doors for the specific little dude you are. Its going to take a while but once you go through the needed doors you get to this one room with like a post, you need to collect them(thats what this switch looking pads on the floor in some rooms are for) and in one room there is this little tree that grows each time you collect one. Im sure you need to collect all of them. I havent yet but its a great game. Hope this helps

Astonishing, stupendous! Beautiful art, that drags you to that mysterious little world. I wanted to it never ended, and I could play it forever. :)

This game (if you can call it that) is incredible. Im not sure I would classify this as a game, so much as a unique atmospheric puzzle. It is primarily, a world that invites exploration. I loved the strangeness of the game. It is not a game that is "fun" as it is not a game in the traditional sense. However, I loved trying to figure it out. Just like in Myst, you are thrust into a world with no instructions and part of the game is figuring out what it is you need to do. Dialogue is mostly just strange symbols that at first are hard to decipher but once you understand the concept, they explain what it is you need to do. This game gave me creative inspiration. I didnt want it to end, it was hypnotizing. It requires a lot of thinking. I absolutely loved it, definitely one of my favorite hidden gems in the App Store. I played this a while ago but was just thinking about it recently because I wanted to see if they had made anything else. Props to the people who developed this. It is a gorgeous "game." I thought it was perfect. I wouldnt change a thing. Flawless.

This is a game in which you collect symbols, get three of the same kind and you change into the creature signified by the glyph. Certain creatures can go through different doors. Eventually you start to collect monoliths, after that who knows? Also this game gives you the unique chance to learn the pictographic language of this amazing universe.

Well, you probably cant get more indie than this. A beautiful, confusing, hard yet lovely game, thats Oquonie. The latest update lets you access the small room with doors leading to more doors. Cool room generator I guess, but doesnt the flower pot do the same? I wonder if Im missing something... Oh and those hidden photobooths are a nice side quest!

There is absolutely no direction - there is no clue about what this game is about, what the goal is nor how to play. Without SOME explanation, this is a total waste of money.

This game is best played by those who find comfort in being lost. Be inquisitive, be patient, and you will be rewarded.

My first few minutes with the game had me so befuddled I didnt know if Id be willing to finish but as I explored I found myself absorbed in the mechanics that I was learning. In most games satisfaction comes from solving puzzles which is true here too but I the same feeling as I discovered how things work. The lack of instructions seems oppressive at first but there is nothing cheap here like in other games that have trick answers to the riddles. Good show. I love it.

Stylish game with awesome atmosphere. It is extremelly addictive and challenging, because you are always dont know the next transformation of the character.

Lousy game. No instructions and no game play involved

I really do enjoy this bundle of fun, I really do! But I found a little impossible loop that I cant get out of. As you play, you change forms. To change form, you need to collect 3 of the same parts of an animal to change to that form. I had 2 owl pieces (which I never gave back to the being who gave them to me, taking 2 spots of 3 spots out of the inventory), and I entered the area that is supposed to make you change into a bird. For some reason, I decided to walk past the birds who give you bird parts, and I walked through the floating paths that take you to a small loop where you get the 3rd bird piece. Sadly, I didnt pick any up, and its a one way journey, so Im stuck between two rooms with an unpassable door (which is for the bird). I have no way of giving back he other two pieces I brought into the journey from another area, and I guess I wasnt supposed to bring it to where I am stuck now, but, I am definitely stuck. Game developers, please create a settings or menu that could let you go back to your start please, or fix this! I really enjoyed this game, and its sad that I have to delete the game because of the loop Im stuck in.

You play as some sort of creature that can move from room to room while random symbols appear across the screen; apparently unrelated to whatever you are doing. Deleted the game after a min or so.

Certainly lost at first (oh, who am I kidding, Im still lost.) I dont know what it is about this game but its beautiful, simple and frustrating.

I feel this game is trying to emulate what the universe would look and act like if dinosaurs stuck around. And theyve done an amazing job at that. It is a great experience walking through a world that is absolutely nothing like ours. I started off super confused then quickly understood what I was meant to do. I would highly recommend this bizarre but beautiful game.

I dont get it.

Imagine you are invited to play chess. The rules and pieces are all explained to you and you begin the game. You are guided as you do so. Now imagine the above scenario but with no explanation, rules or guidance. Welcome to Oquonie!

This game is incredible! Its way different from many other games Ive played. Developers must be super intelligent. Dont look at those 1 star review, most are from people who have no patience. I was completely lost at first myself but too curious and attracted by the graphics and sound I kept playing. The more I play the more Im addicted to it, and starting to understand why the game had no instruction at first, cause its meant to be that way to make the game interesting... The point is its absolutely amazing when you figure out! Im just a bit sad I finished the game and didnt even know, thought I was stuck and kept... playing!! There was no sign of it ending! @Wangster0 Im not sure if this is where you get stuck, but if it is, try going left down from the room with the tall owl and the bookcase, or the room with the last bird and the bird escape door; you should find yourself in a short path with a bird with long beak and glasses; do not walk all the way to the other room, just walk back through the door you just entered; you should be in the room with a bird npc where theres a way to go back about top right (you were here before you got stuck) Then you can go back to return the wrong parts and find the last bird part and turn into a bird. Later on youd figure you gotta come back here and this time even after collecting all 3 bird parts and turning into a bird you still need to remember the way back to collect something else before entering the escape door ;)
